The Vietnamese film “Trại buôn người” (Human Trafficking Camp) has become a major box office success, earning 50 billion VND within its first three days of release. The film, directed by Toni Dương Bảo Anh and Mèo Bích Trang, explores the harrowing reality of cross-border human trafficking through the lens of the “easy work, high pay” scam.

Produced over five years, the project involved more than 10,000 crew members and actors, earning a record from VietKings for its large-scale production. The narrative follows characters like Ny (played by Steven Nguyễn) as they struggle to survive and reclaim their identities after being trapped in a criminal system where they are stripped of their names and treated as commodities.

The film has garnered significant attention for its intense action sequences, realistic portrayal of social issues, and bold, mature content rated T18. It has quickly risen to the top of the Vietnamese box office, marking one of the fastest climbs to the 50 billion VND milestone in recent years.
