Trieste to host 70th National Congress of Engineers

The 70th National Congress of Engineers is scheduled to take place in Trieste from September 23 to 25. Under the theme ‘New frontiers, new responsibilities’, the event will address the complex technical, scientific, and regulatory challenges currently facing the profession.

A central focus of the congress is the role of engineers in driving ‘Society 5.0’, a socio-technological model where technology serves humanity to solve social problems, promote inclusion, and ensure sustainability. The congress aims to explore how professionals can manage the risks and opportunities presented by evolving technologies while maintaining safety and growth.

Trieste was selected as the host city for its strategic position as a frontier city that acts as a logistical, scientific, and commercial bridge.
