Trikala General Hospital Emergency Department renovated via donation

The Emergency Department (ED) of Trikala General Hospital has been fully renovated following a donation from Giorgos Fagridas and Androula Pavlidi-Fagridas. The official handover took place on Monday, August 31, 2026.

The renovation includes structural changes to improve patient management and service efficiency. Key upgrades feature the creation of a ‘fast track’ area for less urgent cases, the unification of wards, a new patient calling system, and the installation of modern medical equipment.

The ceremony was attended by several officials, including the Minister of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, Dimitris Papastergiou, Trikala MP Kostas Skrekas, and Trikala Mayor Nikos Sakkas. This project follows previous donations by the Fagridas couple to the region, including the Raxas-Sotiras sports center and facilities for the School of Non-Commissioned Officers.
