Trikala General Hospital receives new medical equipment upgrades

The Trikala General Hospital is undergoing significant medical equipment upgrades funded by the Region of Thessaly. During a recent visit, Thessaly Regional Governor Dimitris Kouretas met with hospital administration and the 5th Health Region to review the progress of these interventions.

Key updates include the delivery of a portable ultrasound machine for anesthesiology and six new hemodialysis beds, part of a 203,000 euro procurement program. Additionally, a new digital angiograph, valued at 900,000 euros and funded through the ‘Thessaly 2021-2027’ program, has been installed to enhance cardiology services.

The procurement of a surgical microscope for ophthalmology remains pending. The regional administration emphasized that strengthening public health structures remains a priority to meet the evolving needs of patients and medical staff.
