Trinity Rodman balances USWNT duties and supporting Ben Shelton

United States women’s national soccer team star Trinity Rodman has been balancing professional commitments with supporting her partner, tennis player Ben Shelton. Rodman recently celebrated Shelton’s 24th birthday via social media ahead of a high-stakes series against Spain, the reigning Women’s World Cup champions.

Preparing for the international friendlies against Spain, Rodman noted that the team is focusing on ball possession and managing Spain’s aggressive pressure. The matches are scheduled for October 10 in Washington, D.C., and October 13 in Chester, Pennsylvania.

Previously, Rodman traveled via private jet to attend Shelton’s first U.S. Open singles final in New York following a match with her NWSL club, the Washington Spirit. Although Shelton lost the final to Alexander Zverev, Rodman expressed pride in his historic achievement as the first Black American man to reach a U.S. Open singles final since 1972.
