Trinity Rodman draws attention at US Open and Washington Spirit match

Trinity Rodman, a prominent player for the United States women’s national soccer team and the Washington Spirit, has gained significant social media attention following her appearance at the US Open. Rodman was seen cheering for her boyfriend, Ben Shelton, during his four-set victory over Hubert Hurkacz on September 2, which advanced the American player to the third round of the tournament.

In addition to her presence at Flushing Meadows, Rodman recently played a pivotal role for the Washington Spirit. During a match against Bay FC on August 30, she initiated the decisive play that led to a 1-0 victory, helping the team break a month-long winless streak.

Rodman, the daughter of former NBA player Dennis Rodman, has established a successful professional career in soccer. She was the second overall pick in the 2021 NWSL Draft, earned Rookie of the Year honors, and was a standout performer during the 2024 Paris Olympics.
