Tripura Chief Minister announces cricket academy and medical green corridors

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has announced several major infrastructure developments for the state, focusing on sports and healthcare.

In sports, the government has allocated over 30 acres of land in Sekerkot for a state-of-the-art cricket academy. The facility is intended to serve players from Tripura and the broader Northeast region. Additionally, construction of an international cricket stadium is nearing completion to facilitate national and international matches.

In healthcare, the Chief Minister announced the creation of special green corridors to ensure the rapid movement of ambulances during emergencies and prevent delays caused by traffic. This initiative coincides with the inauguration of new Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) units at the Government Medical College and GBP Hospital in Agartala. The state aims to improve medical infrastructure and digital services to reduce the necessity for residents to seek specialized treatment outside of Tripura.
