Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha Announces Farmers' Income Boost and New Ayurvedic College

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha said that raising farmers' incomes is a key objective for the state's development. He highlighted the direct transfer of the 23rd instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM‑Kisan) scheme, noting that more than 2.16 lakh farmers in Tripura will receive over ₹43.32 crore this year. Saha pointed to multiple schemes – PM‑Kisan, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, Krishi Vikas Yojana – and subsidies totaling ₹233.63 crore that have helped increase agricultural production and farmer earnings.

The chief minister also announced that the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine has approved the establishment of Tripura Government Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital at Udaipur. The college will begin admissions in the 2026‑27 session with 60 seats, aiming to expand Ayurvedic education and integrate traditional medicine into the state's health system. Saha thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his support of these initiatives.
