Tripura political developments involve school upgrades and election predictions

In Tripura, Chief Minister Manik Saha has criticized the CPIM for allegedly misleading the public and neglecting the state's education system during its previous tenure. Speaking during a visit to Khetramohan School in Agartala, Saha announced plans to rebuild the historic institution into a modern English-medium school. The project includes a G+4 building and will initially serve students up to Class VIII before being upgraded to Class XII.

Separately, the Tipra Motha Party has expressed confidence regarding the upcoming Village Committee election vote counting on October 5. Following a review meeting in Agartala, party leadership predicted a strong performance, estimating they could secure between 470 and 500 of the 587 available seats. Senior leader Brishaketu Debbarma noted that the party's assessment is based on feedback from various organizational units and claims that over 200 seats were won uncontested.
