Triumph Bonneville 400 spotted testing in Pune ahead of 2026 launch

Triumph has been seen testing a pre‑production prototype of its upcoming Bonneville 400 near its manufacturing facility on the outskirts of Pune, India. The spy images show a bike that is larger than the current Speed 400, featuring a bigger teardrop‑shaped fuel tank, a flat single‑piece bench seat, a new swingarm with twin rear shocks, and revised chassis components. Styling cues include wire‑spoke wheels, a circular LED headlamp, chrome‑finished engine covers, chrome grab‑rails and a peashooter exhaust, giving the model a classic retro appearance.

The motorcycle is expected to be powered by a 349 cc liquid‑cooled single‑cylinder engine paired with a six‑speed gearbox. Triumph plans to launch the Bonneville 400 in India around September‑October 2026, adding a seventh model to its locally built 400 cc family.
