Trivium announces eleventh studio album 'Crown in the Grave

Heavy metal band Trivium has announced their eleventh studio album, titled ‘Crown in the Grave’, scheduled for release on November 20 through Roadrunner Records. The band released the title track alongside a music video directed by Pavel Trebukhin.

The music video draws inspiration from Japanese Noh theater and post-apocalyptic themes, reflecting frontman Matt Heafy’s interest in martial arts and Eastern culture. Bassist Paolo Gregoletto stated that the band aimed to balance their established sound with new sonic explorations, noting that the album’s atmosphere was influenced by Japanese horror and cinema from the 1950s through the 1970s, including Akira Kurosawa’s ‘Throne of Blood’.

The upcoming album features a 12-track list, including songs such as ‘Jorōgumo’, ‘The Terror’, and ‘Serpents in The Flames’. Pre-orders for the record are currently available.
