Türk Telekom named technology partner for COP31 summit

Türk Telekom has been named the ‘Global Digital Transformation and Technology Partner’ for the COP31 United Nations Climate Change Conference, which will be hosted in Antalya, Turkey, from November 9 to 20.

As a ‘Master Partner’, the company will manage the end-to-end technological infrastructure for the summit, including fiber internet, mobile communications, and digital transformation needs. During a meeting between COP31 President and Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum and Türk Telekom CEO Ebubekir Şahin, a live 5G connection was demonstrated between Ankara and the summit site in Antalya to showcase the technology's capabilities.

The partnership aims to demonstrate how technology can contribute to climate action and provide a seamless digital backbone for the international event.
