Türkiye hosts international media tour for COP31 preparations

As part of the preparations for the COP31 Summit, the Presidency of Communications and the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change are organizing the third phase of an international climate media tour from September 9 to 12, 2026. The program, titled “On the Way to COP31: International Media Program for a Sustainable Future,” will host 27 journalists from 17 different countries, including Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, China, and the United Arab Emirates.

The tour will focus on Ankara and Trabzon to showcase Türkiye's environmental policies, sustainability vision, and climate change mitigation efforts. In Ankara, participants will visit the Sincan Integrated Solid Waste Facility and the Altındağ Municipality Zero Waste Training Center to observe zero-waste project implementations. In Trabzon, the media tour will include the Oceans and Seas Summit, which addresses the impacts of climate change on marine ecosystems, the blue economy, and international cooperation.
