Türkiye launches initiatives to support women entrepreneurs
Various initiatives have been launched in Türkiye to support women entrepreneurs and cooperatives through digital transformation and design-led innovation.
In Gaziantep, Hepsiburada held a meeting under the Türkiye's Entrepreneurial Women Cooperation Protocol. The program provided training on e-commerce fundamentals, including store setup, product listing, digital marketing, and AI-supported content creation. To encourage growth, the platform offers a 50% commission discount for female entrepreneurs until they reach 1 million TL in turnover. Women's cooperatives receive 0% commission for the first six months, followed by a fixed rate of 1%.
Additionally, the ‘Anadolu Emeği: Women Producers Empowered by Design Thinking Program’ has commenced. This 14-week social innovation initiative is a collaboration between Özyeğin University Istanbul Design Institute, Armaş Foundation, Good4Trust.org, and A&B Consulting. The program utilizes a design studio model where university students work directly with local women producers to address structural challenges in product development, branding, and market access.
