Slovakia responds to multiple major fires in forest and agricultural areas

Slovakia has experienced several significant fires across different regions. In the Slovak Paradise National Park, a forest fire broke out in the Pukanec saddle between Mlynky and Novoveská Huta. The fire affected approximately 1.5 hectares of coniferous forest in difficult-to-access terrain. Authorities utilized helicopters, drones, and ground modules to combat the flames, which are suspected to have been caused by foragers.

In the Trnava district, a large fire broke out at an agricultural cooperative in Naháč, involving a haystack. Emergency responders, including professional and volunteer firefighters, utilized specialized equipment such as the Colossus fire robot and drones to manage the situation. Additionally, a large-scale fire at a landfill on Zavarská Street in Trnava covered an area of approximately 30,000 square meters, prompting authorities to advise nearby residents to avoid ventilating their homes.

Other reported incidents include a stubble fire in Chudá Lehota near Bánovce nad Bebravou that threatened nearby woods, and various other localized emergency responses across the country.
