Trnava Self-Governing Region honors regional contributors

The Trnava Self-Governing Region held its annual awards ceremony at the Ján Palárik Theatre to recognize individuals and collectives for their contributions to regional development. The regional assembly selected 34 laureates for the TTSK Awards across seven categories: education, culture, sports, healthcare, social services, civil society, and transport. Additionally, the regional governor presented ten Governor's Awards.

Notable recipients include figure skater Adam Hagara and former footballer Miroslav Karhan in the sports category. In healthcare, Miroslav Jašš, director of the Alexander Winter Hospital in Piešťany, and neurologist Dana Lisická from Skalica were honored. Cultural contributions were recognized through Emília Rigová and Danka Otépková, while community service awards went to Ivan Samko and Marek Štítny.

Several awardees from the Záhorie region were also highlighted, including teacher Margita Kojšová, art school director Peter Kovárik, and wheelchair tennis player Tomáš Masaryk. The hockey club HC Dukla Senica received a collective award for reviving local hockey traditions.
