Trnava Self-Governing Region community initiatives

Overview

The Trnava Self-Governing Region (TTSK) has initiated several programs focused on community development and regional recognition.

In mid-September 2026, the region launched its 8th participatory budget, providing 150,000 EUR for local projects. This initiative allows citizens and non-profit organizations to apply for up to 7,000 EUR to improve their local environments. Alongside this, the region announced its 3rd annual Sustainability Days, scheduled for October 2026, to promote ecological sustainability and the circular economy.

Later in the month, the TTSK held an annual awards ceremony at the Ján Palárik Theatre. The event honored 34 laureates across seven categories, including education, culture, sports, healthcare, social services, civil society, and transport, to recognize contributions to regional development. The regional governor also presented ten individual Governor's Awards.
