Trogir City Council approves significant infrastructure investments
The Trogir City Council has approved major investments in transport infrastructure, marking what Mayor Ante Bilić describes as the largest investment cycle in the city in 30 years. During the 11th session, the council reviewed the budget execution for the first half of 2026.
Financial reports indicate consolidated revenues of 9.48 million euros against expenditures of 11.45 million euros. While this resulted in a deficit of 1.97 million euros, the city maintains liquidity through a 2.22 million euro surplus carried over from previous years. Investment expenditures for non-financial assets reached 4.29 million euros, a 141.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
Mayor Bilić noted that inflation has increased costs for materials and labor, leading to the postponement of certain projects, such as the renovation of the cemetery parking lot and St. Dominic's Square. However, the city is prioritizing funds to co-finance European projects, including the continued renovation of Garagnin Park.
