Trogir municipal budgeting and infrastructure

Overview

The City of Trogir has initiated the second phase of its 2027 participatory budgeting project, ‘I tebe se pita!’. Following the submission of 237 citizen proposals for small communal investments, the city scheduled public forums across nine local committees to allow residents to review and vote on neighborhood priorities.

Concurrently, the Trogir City Council approved a major cycle of transport infrastructure investments, described by Mayor Ante Bilić as the largest in 30 years. Financial reports for the first half of 2026 showed a deficit of 1.97 million euros, though the city remains liquid due to previous surpluses. While inflation has caused the postponement of certain projects, such as renovations at St. Dominic’s Square, the city is prioritizing the co-financing of European projects, including the renovation of Garagnin Park.
