Trogir launches public forums for 2027 participatory budgeting
The City of Trogir is entering the second phase of its participatory budgeting project, ‘I tebe se pita!’, for the year 2027. Following the receipt of 237 citizen proposals for small communal investments, the city will host public forums across nine local committees from October 20 to October 24.
During these forums, residents can review the submitted proposals and vote on which projects should be prioritized for their neighborhoods. Mayor Ante Bilić emphasized that the project aims to ensure the voices of those who best understand their neighborhood's daily needs are heard.
Since its inception in 2018, Trogir has been the first city in Dalmatia to allow citizens direct influence over the selection of minor communal investments. After the public voting phase, proposals will undergo technical and financial evaluations before being included in the city budget.
