Tropojë: One municipal worker dead, three injured in electrical accident

A fatal electrical accident occurred in Tropojë near the village of Bujan during the installation of lighting poles. According to police reports, four municipal workers were performing tasks according to a work plan when the incident took place.

It is suspected that while workers were placing a pole onto its base, they lost their balance due to its weight. This caused the pole to strike power lines, conducting electricity to the workers. One worker, 59-year-old Muhamet Sylisufaj, died at the scene.

Three other employees—Albert Dunisha (40), Ilir Dautaj (47), and Afrim Aliaj (21)—sustained injuries and were transported to the Bajram Curri Hospital for medical treatment. Police are continuing procedural actions to clarify the full circumstances of the event.
