Troy Parrott Targeted by West Ham United and FC Porto

West Ham United have entered the race to sign 24‑year‑old Irish striker Troy Parrott from Dutch club AZ Alkmaar. The Premier League side, managed by Nuno Espírito Santo, is prepared to meet AZ’s asking price of roughly €30 million despite having been relegated last season, citing the club’s recent spending power after high‑profile purchases.

FC Porto are also reported to be interested, with Dutch media noting the Portuguese club as the only other team likely able to afford the fee. Earlier interest from Real Betis has faded, while clubs such as Ajax and Real Betis were also mentioned as competitors. Parrott has been prolific for AZ, recording 31 goals and 12 assists in 48 appearances in one report and 51 goals with 17 assists in 96 matches in another, and his contract runs until the summer of 2029. The transfer is expected to be decided in the closing weeks of the summer window.
