Troy Parrott transfers from AZ Alkmaar to Real Betis

Real Betis has officially signed Irish striker Troy Parrott from AZ Alkmaar in a deal worth up to 20 million euros. The transfer includes a guaranteed 16 million euros plus 4 million in potential bonuses.

Parrott has committed to a five-year contract with the Spanish club, which runs until June 2031. The move was reportedly requested by Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini, who sought a striker capable of contributing to both scoring and offensive buildup.

During his tenure at AZ Alkmaar, Parrott recorded 31 goals and 12 assists in his most recent season, helping the club secure both the Dutch Cup and the Dutch Super Cup. His departure follows a highly impactful two-year period in the Netherlands.
