Truck collision on Denizli ring road kills one, injures another

A head‑on collision between two freight trucks occurred on the Denizli Çevreyolu near Pamukkale’s Güzelköy neighbourhood. The driver of the truck heading toward Ankara lost control, crossed into the opposite lane and struck a second truck traveling toward İzmir. The impact forced the latter vehicle over the barrier and onto a median.

Emergency services arrived quickly, extracted the trapped drivers and transported them to hospital. One driver, identified as Şevket Uzun, died despite on‑scene treatment; the other driver, E. Ç., remains in hospital with non‑life‑threatening injuries. Police opened an investigation into the crash.
