Truck driver shot during attempted robbery on México-Puebla highway

A truck driver reported being shot during an attempted robbery on the México-Puebla highway. According to the driver, armed individuals intercepted his vehicle, and several shots struck the truck, with one projectile reportedly hitting the operator in the chest. Despite the injury, the driver managed to continue driving until he could reach a location to seek assistance.

The driver has criticized the response of the Guardia Nacional, alleging a lack of support. He claims that instead of receiving immediate aid for his injuries and the attack, he was issued a fine for parking in a prohibited area, after which his vehicle was removed by a tow truck. Video footage shared by the driver shows bullet impacts on the windshield of the cargo unit.
