Truck overturns on Italy's A14 near Porto Recanati, driver airlifted to hospital

On the morning of 23 May 2026, just before 08:00, a heavy truck overturned on the A14 highway near the southbound entrance ramp of the Porto Recanati toll plaza. A passenger car was also involved in the collision.

Firefighters from the Civitanova Marche station, together with medical personnel from the 118 emergency service, rescued the truck driver from the cab and transferred him by air ambulance to the regional hospital in Torrette, Ancona. The car driver was also extracted and received treatment. Highway police and staff from the Autostrade authority secured the scene and began investigations into the cause of the accident.
