Paraná driver arrested after fatal rollover and fleeing scene

A driver has been arrested in flagrante following a fatal car rollover on the BR-158 highway in the municipality of Saudade do Iguaçu, Paraná. The accident resulted in the death of a passenger, who was ejected from the vehicle and found in a culvert near the crash site.

Authorities located the driver at his residence in Chopinzinho, approximately 25 kilometers from the accident scene. The driver admitted to operating the vehicle at the time of the rollover but claimed he left the site by hitching a ride with an acquaintance. He refused a breathalyzer test and now faces charges of involuntary manslaughter, failure to render aid, and fleeing the scene of an accident.
