Traffic accidents in Santa Luzia
Overview
A series of vehicular accidents occurred on highways in Santa Luzia, Minas Gerais.
In mid-September, a side-impact collision involving two passenger vehicles on the MG-010 highway resulted in three injuries. The accident, which occurred near the São Benedito neighborhood, caused one vehicle to strike a central median railing and another to roll over an embankment. Three victims, including a woman and a father with his six-year-old child, were transported to Hospital Risoleta Neves.
In early October, a truck rollover on the BR-381 highway near the Fumaça service station caused significant traffic congestion. The Federal Highway Police reported that the driver sustained injuries. The highway was temporarily closed during the early morning hours but was reopened after the vehicle was removed and the track was cleaned.
