True Corporation prepares 5G network for Royal Barge Procession

True Corporation is preparing its 5G, 4G, and WiFi networks along both sides of the Chao Phraya River to support the public during the Royal Barge Procession on November 6, 2026. The network coverage will span from the Krung Thon Bridge to Wat Arun Ratchawararam Ratchaworamahawihan.

To manage high volumes of simultaneous data usage—such as live streaming, video, and photo sharing—engineers are utilizing AI and the Intelligent Network Operations Center (BNIC) for 24-hour monitoring. The deployment strategy includes increasing base station capacity, deploying Cell-On-Wheel (COW) mobile stations, and installing temporary signal poles and WiFi at key locations including piers, temples, parks, and transit hubs.

The technical planning incorporates data from previous years and real-time information from scheduled rehearsals to optimize signal quality and capacity management.
