True Corporation 5G network deployment in Thailand

Overview

True Corporation is preparing its 5G, 4G, and WiFi networks along the Chao Phraya River to support public connectivity during the Royal Barge Procession scheduled for November 6, 2026.

To manage high data volumes from activities such as live streaming and photo sharing, engineers are utilizing AI and the Intelligent Network Operations Center for 24-hour monitoring. The deployment strategy involves increasing base station capacity, deploying Cell-On-Wheel mobile stations, and installing temporary signal poles and WiFi at key locations, including temples, piers, and transit hubs. Technical planning incorporates real-time information from scheduled rehearsals to optimize signal quality.
