Trump Mobile hit by data breach affecting 3,615 customers

A hacker group known as BYOD claims to have breached Trump Mobile, a mobile operator launched by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump, resulting in the leak of personal data belonging to approximately 3,615 customers. The exposed information reportedly includes full names, email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, and order details.

According to the attackers, the breach was facilitated by infecting an employee at Liberty Mobile—the firm providing technical infrastructure for Trump Mobile—with a Remote Access Trojan (RAT). The group alleges that neither company utilized multi-factor authentication to secure their systems. The leaked dataset reportedly includes the personal information of Eric Brunnett, the Trump Organization’s chief information officer.

BYOD claims that when they attempted to contact Trump Mobile regarding the intrusion, the company responded by stating they had ‘no team to handle this’ and allegedly labeled hackers as terrorists. While some security researchers have verified the authenticity of the leaked records, Trump Mobile has not issued a formal public statement confirming the breach or the company's alleged response.
