Trump Mobile user data leaked in hacker attack

A hacker group known as BYOD has claimed responsibility for leaking the personal information of approximately 3,615 users associated with Trump Mobile. The leaked data, which has been posted on the dark web, includes names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses, order histories, and service cancellation records.

The breach did not directly target Trump Mobile's own systems but rather the infrastructure of its MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator) partner, Liberty Mobile, based in Florida. According to the attackers, the intrusion was achieved by infecting an employee terminal at Liberty Mobile with a Remote Access Trojan (RAT), which served as a gateway to access customer data.

The compromised list reportedly includes individuals who had begun the application process for Trump Mobile services but had not yet completed their contracts. Notably, the leaked information also includes the personal details of Eric Brennet, the Chief Information Officer of the Trump Organization. BYOD claims that the company was notified of the intrusion but allegedly responded by stating they had no team available to manage the incident.
