TryMoin recalls matcha tea due to toxic pesticide residues

TryMoin GmbH has issued a recall for its ‘TryMoin Bio Matcha Pure Premium’ tea due to the detection of pesticide residues exceeding legal limits. The affected product was sold through Rossmann and Globus retail locations.

An independent laboratory analysis identified the presence of Tebuconazole in batch M-P-002. Tebuconazole is classified under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 as a Category 2 reproductive toxicant. It is suspected of having carcinogenic properties and has been linked to potential liver damage and risks to the human hormonal system and unborn life.
