The Superior Court of Electoral Justice (TSJE) has begun the logistical deployment of voting machines for the municipal elections scheduled for Sunday, October 4, 2026. Officials started loading equipment onto large trucks this Monday, with initial shipments destined for the departments of Alto Paraguay and Alto Paraná.

The deployment process will continue progressively until Friday, October 2. According to the TSJE, a total of 17,992 voting machines will be distributed across 263 districts. The breakdown of the equipment includes 14,711 units for active polling stations, 2,094 machines held in technical reserve to address potential contingencies or failures, and 1,187 machines designated for citizen training and information purposes in high-traffic areas.

Electoral briefcases are scheduled for distribution starting Thursday, September 24, covering all 17 departments of Paraguay. The machines will first be transported to Electoral Registries and Civic Centers in each district before final delivery to designated polling locations.
