TSJE begins judicial audit of electoral materials for municipal elections
The Superior Court of Electoral Justice (TSJE) has commenced a judicial audit of electoral briefcases and materials in preparation for the municipal elections scheduled for October 4. The audit process involves verifying the contents of voting kits, including tally sheets, electoral rolls, security envelopes, and technical credentials, to ensure all items are complete and functional.
The verification process is being conducted under the supervision of departmental coordinators and includes representatives from political organizations to ensure transparency. While audits for the departments of Itapúa and Alto Paraná have already been completed, the current phase focuses on Alto Paraná, Caaguazú, and San Pedro. The process is expected to continue across all 17 departments and the capital until October 1.
This logistical operation aims to certify that all materials are properly sealed and ready for distribution to 1,871 polling stations and 14,711 voting tables nationwide. Technical tests are also being performed on mass storage devices to ensure digital correspondence between recorded votes and the computer system.
