TSJE completes candidate data verification for municipal elections
The Tribunal Superior de Justicia Electoral (TSJE) has completed the technical verification of data for all candidates registered for the upcoming municipal elections, which are scheduled for October 4.
The verification process, managed by the Information and Communication Technologies (TIC) Directorate, included identity checks, photograph inspections, and the validation of candidate lists. This step ensures that the information displayed on voting machine screens matches the officially authorized candidacies, including updates resulting from resignations or legal challenges.
Dominick Ramírez, the Deputy Director of TIC, noted that this concludes a lengthy data collection phase. Following this milestone, the TSJE will proceed with closing the official voting machine software and finalizing the distribution of contingency kits.
