TSMC and Tsing Hua University discuss AI-driven talent sustainability
At the 2026 Business Weekly CHRO Forum Workshop in Hsinchu, industry leaders discussed how generative AI and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards are redefining talent management and organizational sustainability.
Speakers from TSMC Charitable Foundation, National Tsing Hua University, and PSA Technology highlighted a shift in necessary competencies. As AI lowers the cost of acquiring knowledge, human value is increasingly found in the ability to extract wisdom from experience, navigate unknown scenarios, and facilitate cross-disciplinary communication.
Peng Guanyu, CEO of the TSMC Charitable Foundation, proposed the ‘3D Talent Cube’ model to replace traditional two-dimensional performance and potential matrices. This new framework emphasizes communication and collaborative influence as formal dimensions of talent assessment, rather than just soft skills.
A survey of 120 HR executives revealed that while 74% expect to redefine talent and skills, only 54% have actually implemented AI-driven talent development programs. The discussion emphasized moving from conceptual recognition of these shifts to concrete organizational action.
