TSV 1860 München Secures Grünwalder Stadium Lease for Regionalliga Return

The newly formed Spielbetriebs‑GmbH of TSV 1860 München has signed a lease agreement with the city of Munich for the Grünwalder Stadion. The contract, covering the 2026/27 season, involves a rent of roughly €0.5 million and guarantees the club a home venue for its Regionalliga campaign, fulfilling a key organisational requirement after the club’s recent insolvency and relegation.

The club’s rebuilding effort continues on the sporting side. A training squad of about 28 players, recently supplemented by goalkeeper Paul Bachmann and returnee Julian Bell, is preparing for the season opener in the Toto‑Pokal on 21 July, followed by the first Regionalliga match in August. Squad composition remains unsettled, and ticket sales for the new season have yet to be finalised.

Off the pitch, a newly released goalkeeper jersey sparked discussion among fans. While the design appears red, the club’s merchandising arm describes it as “salmon‑pink” and insists it is not a colour change for the traditional blue‑white kit. The episode adds a minor controversy to the club’s broader revival narrative.
