Various regional sports leagues begin new seasons across Europe

Various regional and national sports leagues across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland have commenced their new seasons.

In water polo, Wasserfreunde Spandau 04 secured the Supercup with a 21:14 victory over SV Blau-Weiß Bochum, marking their sixth consecutive Supercup win. In basketball, Kapfenberg won the Supercup and their league opener with a 101:78 win over Wels. In Austria, BC Vienna suffered a heavy 122:37 loss to Traiskirchen Lions in their Superliga debut.
