Tucumán and Salta health institutes sign new reciprocity agreement
The Instituto de Previsión y Seguridad Social de Tucumán (IPSST) and the Instituto Provincial de Salud of Salta (IPS) signed a new reciprocity agreement, replacing the 2005 pact. The accord, signed by IPSST interventor Elena Hurtado and IPS Salta interventor Martín Baccaro during a COSSPRA session, adds updated mechanisms for service provision, billing and payment.
The agreement allows affiliates of each institute to receive health services in the other province when they are residing, studying, working or transiting there, ensuring continuity of coverage. Hurtado said the update is essential to meet current needs and announced plans to negotiate similar agreements with additional provinces.
