La Pampa invests $587 million in Santa Isabel hospital; Ushuaia opens new child center
The Government of La Pampa has announced an investment of over $587 million to equip and furnish the new Hospital in Santa Isabel. The project, which aims to strengthen the public health system in the western Pampean region, is divided into two public tenders: $368.9 million for medical equipment and $352,000 for integral furniture. The Level III facility is expected to be operational by next year and will cover 71 items across areas such as kinesiology, laboratory, and emergency services.
In Tierra del Fuego, Governor Gustavo Melella visited the recently inaugurated Child Development Center (CDI) in the Kaupén neighborhood of Ushuaia. The center is designed to provide care, protection, and stimulation for children in their early years through coordinated efforts between the Education and Citizen Welfare and Justice ministries. While the infrastructure is complete, officials noted that the Ministry of Education still needs to incorporate additional professionals to ensure full operational capacity.
