Tui receives funding for pedestrian mobility project

The Diputación de Pontevedra has approved a 12,000 euro contribution to the Tui City Council to fund a project for reorganizing public space and improving pedestrian mobility near the Areas Sociocultural and Sports Center.

The current 6,000-square-meter area lacks accessible pedestrian routes and is heavily occupied by vehicular traffic and parking. The proposed project aims to prioritize pedestrians by reducing vehicle space, creating organized parking zones, and establishing a large, accessible pedestrian leisure area. The plan also includes improving landscape integration through green infrastructure and sustainable, low-maintenance solutions.
