Tulancingo attracts Home Depot investment to boost local economy

Tulancingo is strengthening its local economy through new private investments and support for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MiPymes). Carlos Henkel Escorza, the state Secretary of Economic Development, announced that Home Depot will install a new location in the municipality. This project involves an investment of 397 million pesos and is expected to generate approximately 500 jobs.

Mayor Lorena García Cázares noted that the arrival of large companies is part of a broader growth process supported by strategic location, connectivity, and infrastructure. In addition to attracting large-scale capital, the municipal government is focusing on strengthening MiPymes through training, support, and formalization programs to ensure sustained economic activity.
