A wave of violence has struck the eastern region of the state of Morelos, Mexico, marked by the discovery of multiple bodies in different municipalities.

In Tlalnepantla, five people—three men and two women—were found dead along the Xochimilco-Oaxtepec highway. The victims were discovered tied by their hands and feet and showed signs of torture and gunshot wounds.

In the neighboring municipality of Yecapixtla, two men were also found dead near the Yecapixtla-Viveros highway. These victims were also found tied and accompanied by an intimidating message from criminal groups. Authorities are investigating the connection between these incidents and the shared pattern of violence.
