Tulum Jaguar Park launches new tourism provider registry

Quintana Roo Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa has launched a new registration and certification strategy for tourism service providers operating within Tulum’s Jaguar Park. Part of the ‘Tulum Renace’ program, the initiative aims to professionalize the sector by creating an official registry of workers.

The registration process, which includes providing a color photograph for official identification, is open to artisans, food and beverage vendors, paramedics, and medical personnel. The program is being implemented in coordination with various entities, including the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR), the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), and the National Commission of Protected Natural Areas (CONANP).

The move follows a period where revenue collected at the park entrance ceased going to INAH. The new system seeks to strengthen tourism management within the park's various protected zones, including the Tulum National Park and the Jaguar flora and fauna protection area.
