Tuna Tunca completes 35km Catalina Channel swim

Turkish national swimmer Tuna Tunca has successfully completed the 35-kilometer Catalina Channel swim in California, USA. This achievement marks the fourth stage of the Ocean’s 7 marathon, a series of the world’s most challenging open-water swimming routes.

The swim required navigating difficult conditions, including strong currents, cold water temperatures, and nighttime segments. Under the guidance of coach Mert Onaran, Tunca utilized a strategic nutrition and pacing plan to complete the course. Tunca, a member of the İzmir Büyükşehir Belediyespor Kulübü, has returned to Turkey following the successful completion of the event.
