Tungsten Mining begins major drilling campaign at Watershed project

Tungsten Mining has launched an extensive drilling campaign at its 100 per cent owned Watershed tungsten project in north Queensland. The initiative follows a preliminary economic evaluation released in June and aims to strengthen confidence in mineralisation for initial mining areas.

The campaign consists of two primary programs. A reverse circulation (RC) program will involve 175 holes totaling approximately 15,000m over four months. This work is intended to tighten drill spacing to a 20m-by-20m pattern to better define ore continuity, geometry, and grade distribution. This data will support an updated mineral resource model and refine mine planning, schedules, and pit design.

Additionally, a diamond drilling program will execute 75 holes for approximately 5,700m over three months. This program focuses on collecting samples for metallurgical testing and gathering geotechnical information necessary for detailed engineering and process design. Chairman Gary Lyons stated the program is an important step in advancing the project and reducing development risk.
