Tunisia Expands Health, Education and Tech Training in Kébili, Sidi Bouzid and Tozeur
Mazarine Energy Tunisia, together with the Tunisian Petroleum Activities Company (ETAP), delivered a range of equipment to regional delegations in the governorate of Kébili on 12 June 2026. The supplies included modern ophthalmology devices for the El Faouar hospital, computers and printers for school computer rooms, and sports‑ and culture‑related gear for the Maison des Jeunes de Ghidma and other local facilities. Representatives praised the multisectoral approach, with M. Imen Ben Slimane Nahlaoui stating, "En collaboration avec notre partenaire, l’Entreprise Tunisienne d’Activités Pétrolières, nous poursuivrons notre engagement ferme en matière de responsabilité sociétale…".
The Fondation Tunisie pour le Développement inaugurated two new ELIFE centres—ELIFE Sidi Bouzid on 16 June and ELIFE Tozeur on 17 June. Co‑financed by German (KfW IFE) and French (AFD) sources, the centres provide digital‑technology training, professionalisation programmes and startup incubation, projected to generate over 1 300 direct and indirect jobs within three years and to support thousands of Tunisian youths in gaining employment in the digital and industrial sectors.
