Tunisia ranks 125th in Global Gender Gap Report

Tunisia has ranked 125th out of 145 economies in the 2026 Global Gender Gap Report published by the World Economic Forum. With a global score of 65%, the country falls within the bottom quintile of the worldwide ranking.

The report, supported by the Arab Institute of Business Leaders (IACE), highlights that while international gender parity has improved by 5.2% since 2006, no economy has achieved full parity. At the current rate of progress, it is estimated that it would take approximately 120 years to close the global gap.

Significant disparities exist between different sectors. While parity in education and health could be reached within 8 years, substantial gaps remain in economic participation and political empowerment, with projected timelines of 129 years and 194 years, respectively.
