Tunisia-Saudi Arabia trade reaches 1.144 billion dinars in 2025

Trade between Tunisia and Saudi Arabia reached 1.144 billion dinars in 2025, marking an 18.6% increase from 964 million dinars in 2024. According to the Tunisian Export Promotion Center (CEPEX), Tunisian exports to Saudi Arabia saw a significant rise of nearly 136%, growing from approximately 117 million dinars in 2024 to 276.2 million dinars in 2025.

This growth is supported by Tunisian companies participating in international events such as the Saudi Food Show 2026 in Jeddah. Key export products include olive oil, harissa, pasta, dates, and various processed foods.

Parallel to these bilateral gains, Tunisia is positioning itself to capitalize on the global halal market, which was valued at $2.6 trillion in 2024 and is projected to reach $3.6 trillion by 2029. CEPEX aims to strengthen the international presence of Tunisian firms by leveraging halal certification across sectors including food, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals. Tunisia also plans to host the World Halal Congress and the general assembly of the international Islamic standards body in 2027.
